LOCATION:
Located at 917 sw oak st in beautiful Downtown Portland, across from Powells Books, The Hideout Hair Studio is a speakeasy style hair salon tucked away in a charming historic building. Surrounding the studio you will find many local coffee shops, food options, amazing retail + walking/ biking routes & theater options. Itโs a fun area to explore before or after your appointment, itโs easy to love! You will receive a confirmation email the day before your appointment and a confirmation text the day of your appointment with details needed to access the studio.
PARKING:
Noting that the studio is located downtown, there are many parking options surrounding the studio. From street parking with the โpark kittyโ mobile app to garages and lots, there is no shortage of parking. Street parking is free Sunday mornings until 1 pm on most surrounding streets.
There is a large paid parking lot across from the living room movie theater where you can park and see your car from our window. If you are on bicycle, feel free to bring it in as the building offers secured bike parking.
***Please allow yourself enough time to navigate the area especially if you are not familiar with this corner, we have a 10 minute grace period for late appointments. ***
WHAT DO WE MEAN BY CLEAN AIR?
At The Hideout we pride ourselves in providing clean air, meaning that we use no harsh chemicals ever. We are intentional about what we bring into + offer in the space. Our products are all thoughtfully chosen & curated based on our ethos for clean, never toxic ingredients as simple + local as they come. We are a haircut focused space & do not offer chemical treatments of any kind.
WHAT SERVICE SHOULD YOU BOOK:
We offer a variety of service options, our services are always genderless. We offer a wide range of skill sets from classic barbering to creative styles. HOW SHOULD I ARRIVE FOR MY APPOINTMENT?
Please arrive with your hair in a clean, natural state, meaning minimal product and without manipulation of ties or clips. We want to see how your hair naturally exist so we can best serve you. In some cases a dry cut is best, in others a cleanse or condition is needed. We thoughtfully choose the best option to let your haircut live itโs best life.
CANCELLATION/ LATE POLICY:
We ask that you kindly cancel or reschedule your appointment 48 hours in advance, appointments cancelled without 24 hours notice are subject to charge for service booked. We allow a 10 minute grace period for late arrival, no exceptions
HOW FAR OUT CAN YOU BOOK?
Our books are open two months in advance.
DO WE ALLOW ADJUSTMENTS?
Absolutely! We understand the complexity of how personal hair can be and honor the journey for what it is. Reach out with any adjustment inquires, we are here to help. We allow up to 10 days for adjustments on an unaltered haircut. Due to the personal nature of each haircut, we do not offer refunds.
ARE WE KID FRIENDLY?
